Season 11Top Chefalumnus Chef Brian Huskey is a native of Pasadena, California. After attending UCLA, where he had his first job as a short order cook, Huskey moved to San Francisco to get his formal culinary education at CCA. After CCA, he went on a culinary journey and has been able to travel and learn how to incorporate Asian, French, Peruvian, and Californian influences into his food. Today he is the chef and owner of Tackle Box in Corona del Mar.
Vanessa Ceceña is a San Diego based writer who covers stories related to life on the border. Her writing is influenced by her bicultural identity and travels, giving her work a transnational flair. She is particularly interested in the intersections between food, policy, and community impact.
