Tequila Cheese Dip Recipe

Warm, creamy, and with a kick of tequila, this dip combines bold flavors that are perfect for tortilla chips or fresh veggies. It’s a fun and unexpected twist on traditional queso that will have guests coming back for more.

INGREDIENTS
- 6 oz Oaxaca cheese, cubed
- 1/2 plum tomato, diced
- 1/4 white onion, diced
- 2 tbsp diced green chile peppers
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 oz tequila
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 350®¨F. Place the cheese, tomato, onion, and chiles in a small cast-iron skillet and stir to combine. Set the mixture aside.
2. Combine the sugar, lime juice, and chili powder in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar, until the mixture is syrupy.
3. Drizzle the syrup over the cheese mixture, place it in the oven, and bake until the cheese has melted and is golden brown on top, about 15 minutes.
4. Remove the pan from the oven, pour the tequila over the mixture, and use a long match or a wand lighter to ignite it. Bring the flaming skillet to the table and enjoy once the flames have gone out.
